I don't mean to be showing my youthful, spry, precociously petulant age, but is anyone else here, besides moi, on myspace?

Won't you

Be my

Neighbor?

I just realized how creepy it makes me feel to be asking about myspace, considering all the news stories lately about pedos being on there.

I think we had a thread like this a few weeks back.

http://www.myspace.com/shiveredsky Feel free to add me, especially if you have nekkid pictures in your profile.

I have a pic of Hasselhoff in a speedo.

Does that count?

mdin
03-10-2006, 10:13 AM
Hey, Hasselhoff got accused of beating his wife today. He and Yanni must have some sort of club or something. That ankle picture makes me sick every time I see it.

Because I'm paranoid.

That's okay, Truman. We'll make one for you.

Hahaha. It's funny, 'cause I'm violently anti-myspace.

Because I'm paranoid.

Aw.

That's disappointing. I figured if anyone here had an account, it'd be you.

You should get one.

And, it's not paranoia if they're really after you.

Naw... like, I'm pretty damn antisocial.

One of the things that makes me cringe the most is the likelihood of running into someone I haven't seen in a long time. And myspace facilitates that.

Were I gay, I wouldn't know how to quit you.

Join us on the Myspace Dark Side.

It IS your destiny.

I am flattered by the invitation, though :)

One of the things that makes me cringe the most is the likelihood of running into someone I haven't seen in a long time. And myspace facilitates that.A friend of mine set up an account and promptly forgot about it. Six months later, he logged in again and had messages from two old girlfriends he hadn't seen in over 10 years. It totally blew his mind.

Once you have an account they WILL find you.

My older son wants me to make a myspace page so he can add me. Apparently cuz I'm SUCH a cool mom. *snicker* I haven't told him yet that I'm already there. *thinking that I will have to change my page up a little before doing that*

but my brother went and found this girl, look her up. her names seductive sam.

its not porn or anythin like that

I would highly recommend against seeking out Seductive Sam's profile.

The profile itself isn't porn, but in the user comments section tubgirl raises her nasty ...er... nevermind. If you don't know what tubgirl is, consider yourself lucky. It is an infamous picture that transcends "Not Safe for Work."

I went signed up in 2004 and forgot all about it -- I signed on today and found all kinds of friends requests, new messages and invites . . . from people I don't know from a can of paint. It's still kind of fun, though . . .

I had to update it to reflect that my kids are two years older. hehe I'm not really sure what the purpose of this account is, though . . . :: ponders ::

Speaking of creepy:

My friend i know told me to talk to you because she is interested after reading your profile. You look like her 1st crush or something. She hooked me up with my gerl she asked me to tell you to talk to her since she is shy I told her ook. She said she is going to post blogs about you so keep checking. She's the sexyiest gerl I know.

Here is her profile to add as a friend.

Gee, do I click add and suddenly have all these black helicopters circling my house?

"gerl" Sheesh.

mdin
03-22-2006, 03:56 AM
I get one or two of those a day. There's usually a link to a webcam somewhere in her profile, which you have to pay to see. Or better yet, she'll pretend to be interested in you, and while she's vacationing in Nigeria, she'll lose her wallet and send you frantic email asking to borrow money.

There are many, many famously disgusting pictures on the internet, and tubgirl is always in the top three. I won't give you the names of the others, but you can find some surprisingly informative articles about all of them on wikipedia.

I thought about deleting mine, too, because I'm getting sick of receiving those, "Hey baby, I like what I see. Can we hook up?" messages . . . I have it posted right in my profile that I'm attached to someone. That message is supposed to make me drop everything and run? Oy.

So, um...how you doing there, Jenn? I was thinking that maybe we could, you know, get together some time and, you know, see what happens. Just throwing that out there. Hey, you never know, right? Might be fun. Might be a new experience, as they say. Don't answer now, just think about it. Nobody needs to know; just you, me and night manager at the Days Inn. ;)

But, Opti-everyone's doing it. Isn't this a little too mainstream for you? I mean, most of what's so devastatingly sexy about you is your refusal to be like everyone else (or should I say, "contrarianism"?). So--what's up with you falling into line on this one?

I have a MySpace account.

Check the sig.

If you just tell me you're off AbsoluteWrite, I'll always add you.

Heck, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and add them, unless they're asking for money, or acting like a sk*** in their pics.
I figure if people want to find me, they're going to find me eventually. This way, they can do it over the internet where the worst they can do is spam mail.

And if my exes find me, maybe they'll find out about my book, and that's another person to buy my book next year!

Who'd you think that was, shadowferret, the disco strangler?

It's a very easy way to tell all your friends and families about publications with just one bulletin, by the way.

Okay, it's not as much fun as starting at the "A"'s in your cellphone, but it's more efficient.

I had one, but I can't remember what it was for the life of me. I had to sign up to interview this chick out in LA and then forgot all about it.

Hmmm...wonder how many come-ons I'll have if I ever figure out what the hell it was.

Danger Jane

I have one but that is acceptable because I am a teenage girl and therefore cannot resist something trendy.

Also I can rationalize why I will NEVER get preda...preda...predatized...preyed upon....via Myspace...there are SO many other kids there and it's not like I'd EVER hook up with someone from there, ew, ew, ew.

My sister talked me into signing up with MySpace. So, I finally caved: http://www.myspace.com/dawncolclasure
It's interesting. I know some of the people on my friends list outside of MySpace -- and, no, it's not those musicians! LOL I don't know why I get friend requests from some musicians and why others are cool with accepting my Friend requests. Some friend requests come from people REALLY unlike me and I'm like, "How did you find my profile??" My sister, her partner and my nephew are on there, too. It's funny; sometimes my nephew and I send MySpace messages back and forth and chat at the same time. Haha!

So, anyways. Everybody who has put a MySpace link here has gotten a Friend Request from me. And then some....
