It doesn't feel like much...

Well, after hours of tossing thoughts around today... what started as a single story idea is turning into a trilogy.

-Name for world (history profile started), and continents, islands, etc.
-Name for two original races (profile on one started, with ideas stewing for the other)
-Wife "hired" to put my vision for a world map onto paper.

This is the most excited for any project I have ever been, and I have a fellow writer who happens to be a good buddy to keep me on track! Excited to share more with you guys as time goes on.

Maps are very good. As Phaeal said, it makes the story more real.

I've drawn room maps, building maps, town maps.... It's also very helpful when you're 40k into the story and are navigating your characters around.

Yea, my buddy was showing me the world map he has created for his world. He was telling me how helpful it was for him in his writing to give him reference for different things.
