View Full Version : Final presubmit edit completed

I just sent my final edit to my agent. I've cut this thing down nearly 45,000 words from my first draft that I thought was pretty tight. It still may be too long, but she's comfortable pitching it at this. So we're soon to go out to the world.

I'm nervous and relieved and scared to death. but also glad to be headed back to my WIP -- it will be fun to make stuff up again instead of rethinking what I'd already made up last year.

That's so awesome! Congratulations! Can't wait to see what happens next. Could you give us a brief idea about what the WIP is about?

Sure. The new WIP is about a painter/marine salvage specialist who finds a nuclear bomb in the engine room of a sunken megayacht that went down without a distress call. Shenanigans, threats and betrayals ensue. I'm planning on 100K -- I'm about 15 in.

Thanks for the kind words.

Congrats on getting the edits done! Did you get that deep 'finally done' sigh? :)

As funny as it sounds, I did. An actual deep sigh.
