*sidles in*

I've been writing since I was 13, so almost ten years now. I subbed my first piece of work to a online magazine today.

I may have spent 10 minutes checking that I'd attached the right document, but I got it sent out eventually.

I'm just going to banana dance in the corner here

It's nerve-wracking clicking that Send button for the first time, isn't it? :)

Best of luck with the sub.

Thanks. I think it was less nerve wreaking and more "finally", because it was almost the 15th time I'd gone over the piece. But I was happy to do it.

And I'm absolutely not checking my inbox each day. Not at alllll

Congrats, young person. We'll be here to celebrate either your first acceptance or your first rejection. I expect you'll see lots more of both in your future. And either way it turns out, you're more of a writer today than you were yesterday. 'Cause you had the courage to submit. Good on you. :D
