Kristine Kathryn Rusch has an article on author and series branding on her web site. It includes an interesting discussion of selecting fonts for different genres and series you write in. Skip down about four or five pages to see them.

Romance novels might use more curved shapes and adventure novels more angular ones, to use a crude example.

Thanks for the interesting read. It is funny how we quite reliably associate particular fonts with different kinds of situations and emotions.

Thanks for this. I love typography, and the examples she uses are really helpful.

That's pretty interesting!
This remind of -- a while back I did an online English exam and on one of the questions I was supposed to change the font of a text to match the genre.
The options were literally Comic Sans, Times New Roman and some other generic ones. Impossible to answer.
