Upgrading PHotoshop Elements worth it?

I'm thinking of upgrading from Photoshop Elements 9 to 12. Are there any of the newer features worth it?

Here's Adobe's propaganda comparing versions 8-12. But I am having a bit of a hard time evaluating them. I'd appreciate some input from actual users.

Most of the new "features" are for getting and selecting images for social media and other on-line functions.

Bearing in mind all the plug-ins and actions available, I don't really see a great leap forward. "Facial recognition"?

I use PS6 and I don't feel the need to upgrade, especially with the new "always on line", (well once every 30-90 days anyway) plan. And don't even get me started on US based "cloud" security.
