In2009 my first book was published with a small press. They quickly picked up 4 other books over the years and life was good. My sales were respectable, but I wasn't quitting my day job. This past year my publisher changed their focus to romance and erotica, not my genre.
A few months ago I asked and received my print rights back and set out to put my books back in print myself while my publisher still owned the digital rights.

A week after book one is live in print, I get a message in my inbox. Short version, another publisher read my book, loved it and wanted to know if I was looking for a home for anything new, or if I owned the rights to my series. Next day my publisher reverted all my rights back to me as they merged with another press and my books had no place with them.

So 24 hours after being dropped, three of my five books are back under contract as well as the 4 th in the series. They will also look at the other two books my old publisher dropped.

I couldn't have asked for a better outcome!
