Yes.

I did that once on an exam. It was Advanced Placement English, and the teacher was something of a placeholder. She asked a question on the exam that was framed as a yes or no question, and did not ask for any comments or discussion.

So, I answered it.



I got an F but this teacher had already announced that she was giving everyone a B+ final grade, so, meh.

... am ashamed to confess I don't understand what a "rhetorical question thread" is. I know what rhetorical means, pretty much, but not in this context. Shameful to be sure :-(
