Nothing!

I love the short days, snowstorms, the roaring fire, the quiet times ...

The possibility of water pipes freezing. It's never happened in the house I'm in now but I dread it if it ever does.

Freezing rain building up, bringing down the power lines, knocking out your electricity, and leaving you with no lights and no heat.

Oh, yeah. Most Oregon drivers are good on rainy roads, but like hogs on ice where they freeze.

My gal likes making our place into a sauna, so Pacific Power bills in mid-winter go sky high.

Me, I likes some winter now and then. So glad the earth tilts.

January is lovely here, weather-wise, but it brings with it an immense amount of traffic and difficulty getting a table in a restaurant.

But if that's the worst of the January troubles... :tongue

The one thing I dislike most about January is me.
Yep. Me.

The snow started today around 11am. It's way too cold out.
The roads are covered, and this happens every year - and I still live here.

I'm an idiot. I should be smart enough to move somewhere else.

The cold, the dryness and static, and everything shocking me because of it. Usually I hate the snow, but we haven't had much, just cold, dreary, cloudy days.

The worst part about January is how much I love winter break and how little I want to go back and learn about organic chemistry :c

I still see carbon atoms and lewis structures in my sleep :e2cry:

In January, it should be warm and rainy here, which gets a thumbs up from me. But the first three days of the month have been record-breakingly hot and the Wet has yet to start. :(
