View Full Version : Just in time!

I made it a goal earlier this year to submit a story somewhere by the end of December. I left it open to either novella, short story or whatever I just wanted to be able to say that I had taken that first step towards being a real author. I made my submission 12/20 (just in the nick of time) and achieved my goal.

Now, of course, the place I sent it speaks of response times of several weeks to a couple months - and I received from them my first ever rejection in a day and a half, but hey, there's always next time!

Sat Nam! (literally "Truth Name"--a Sikh greeting)

Congrats on meeting your goal and on your first rejection. You are now officially enrolled in the Writers' Club! :)

Great job! It takes a lot to make that first submission. Good luck.

CGS on two big steps, the sub and surviving the rejection!

Now for the next step: Let every rejection trigger a resubmission, preferably the same day. Can't win the game if you don't stay in it. :D
