Hey all,
So I just got a request for a full from an agency I'd assumed was a no reply means no. It's been a couple of months and I'd gone back for another editing pass on the manuscript (especially the early chapters since, until now I hadn't gotten any positive replies to the query package).
My question is this: When sending the full do I mention that I've made some minor edits? None of the changes are story altering, but they do modify the way one of the characters is presented earlier on (slightly). They query package included the first 50, and that's where most of the changes happened. I'm terrified that if I say I've been doing edits they'll reconsider because something they like has maybe changed, but if I don't say anything and something has changed they'll be annoyed? Has anyone dealt with this successfully before? I'm not sure what the etiquette is here.
Halp!
