Are there any other bartenders or barbacks out there? I bartend for private parties, corporate events, weddings, etc. I figured it might be cool to have a thread to swap original or favourite drink recipes. And if you're not a bartender, what's your favourite drink? I try to learn at least one new cocktail every week. It's what I'm hired for.
I made up a few new drinks for the season, all named after political scandals. A couple of them are:
The Carlos Danger - A Manhattan made with Hudson whiskey and port instead of vermouth. Add just a dash of champagne for 'extra Danger.' Served in a martini glass
Lewinsky's Blue Dress - 4oz white rum, 2oz blue curacao, 2oz white crème de cacao. Served in a martini glass
The Larry Craig - Any Minnesota whiskey in a shot glass. Drink with a wide stance.
Okay, so I didn't technically 'invent' the last one, just the technique.
