I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to lose my library. I also have over a thousand books. None worth huge amounts but I have 12 first edition Pratchetts with the dust covers so they are what I would save first.

But to lose the whole lot is just......oy.

Well done to everyone who jumped in to replace them. Amazingly generous.
