Letter Accompanying Short Fic Submission

I'm submitting a piece of short fic to a publication that wants the whole manuscript. So what exactly do I write in the accompanying letter? Just a general "I am submitting this manuscript for consideration blah blah blah" and some information about me...and why I am so wonderful ?
