Things I Hate About October...

I love October but it is the 2nd busiest month at work so I'm slammed.

I don't much like Halloween either.

But I am awfully glad you're back, Lavern.

Nothing (that instantly comes to mind). I LOVE Halloween. I love this fall time of year.

Pumpkin EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy pumpkin. But good grief, everyone is pumpkin this or pumpkin that and pumpkin pumpkin pumpkin.

Also, I'm a warm-weather person. Not a fan of having to dig out my jacket and sweaters.

::takes pumpkin-flavored coffee and sneaks out of thread::

Yeah. Pumpkin. Overload.

Nothing! Well, except for that birthday thing ... but it beats the alternative!

I swear, I'm a pinterest food addict, but I can't log on these days without 90% of the recipes on there being pumpkin stuff. Pumpkin overload.

That I always, always have to work on Halloween. I don't even like Halloween all that much. But everyone's out having fun and I have to spend the day picking up those who had too much fun every. Single. Year.

In Bangkok, October is the height of the rainy season, usually pisses down most of the time, though this year hasn't been too bad, up to now. Then it's Halloween, which is fun, and then, from 1st November, it's Beer Garden Season, which is LOTS of fun!

2 things about October I don't like:

1. We don't even HAVE Halloween in Australia. *grumble grumble*
2. It's already getting pretty bloody hot. It's 6am-ish here, and I'm wearing shorts and a T-shirt and I'm not even a little chilly. By the time it's afternoon, I'll be sweating right through my everything.

I'm in a funk just thinking about it right now.

Oh man. So many things I don't like. But mostly the Halloween stuff. For the same reason, I don't read horror books. I just don't understand the "fun" of being frightened. Not that I don't respect others who love it -- I just don't get it.

Time change.

We had Daylight Savings Time on Sunday. I honestly don't see the point of that... *tries not to rant*

The Crepe Myrtle is gone, well, almost gone, please, except the bit at the grocery store. hack-cough-hack.

But at least it's cooler, but not cold.

Pumpkin's great in measured doses, but things do seem to get a little excessive this time of year.

What I hate is that the days get shorter and shorter and shorter, even though DST now doesn't end until after Halloween. Means getting up in the dark and often getting home in the dark.

Meh...getting older comes to mind. It's inevitable, but I still don't have to like it.

Moreover, only a month before NaNo and I'm nowhere near ready. So, that's overshadowing right now.

Oh, and cleaning up leaves. That's just gross. Fun burning 'em...but the raking sucks. Haven't blown 'em yet *giggles*... yet. Sorry, bunneh's been rubbing off on me too much lately.

Well... The last 2 days have combined all my least-favourite types of weather. Windy, hot AND raining! Bah!

What I hate about October? Nothing I can think of. I love autumn and Halloween and the cooler temps. It's the next five months I don't care for.
