Hello. Just have a question about copyright. How would one get a copyright for flash fiction? Would I have to pay any money? In which countries would the copyright be valid?

Hi EmperorWolf, and welcome to AW! :hi:

Please take a look around the Publishing FAQ and Resources (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=233) board. FAQ: Copyright (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58845) should answer some of your questions.

You would write the flash fiction. You don't have to do anything other than write something original for it to be protected by copyright. You don't need to register it. You don't need to pay.

You can pay to register your copyright if you wish - this allows you to more easily prove your authorship of the work should there be some dispute down the line.
