I'm assuming - she being shortlisted for the Booker and all - that the merit of her work can be safely assumed ;) I haven't read it yet, but I approach it with confidence. I'll let you know how it goes on...

Eleanor Catton has a Kiwi accent, so that might make it a bit difficult to pass her off as an Australian!

Daniel Browning interviewed her this morning on ABC radio's Books & Arts Daily. It's an interesting interview. (I don't think the link is geo-blocked outside Australia.)
