My adorable 92-year-old mother-in-law, after a glass of wine, talking about the lessons of old age:

"You just have to take life peach by peach."

considers

"By piece. Piece by piece."

considers

"No - peach. Take life peach by peach."

Nice photo, throwing up a gang sign at her age, really!

:)

Your mother-in-law sounds like a real character, and I mean that in the best way.

I believe that sign is "I love you" in sign language, J.S.F.

Peach by peach. I'll have to remember that. Especially since it's peach season here in Southern Ontario. Now, if no-one minds, I'm off to find a peach to eat. :)

What a beautiful woman, mccardey! Thank you for posting!

Hard to tell from the angle of her hand in the photo if it's American Sign Language for "I love you" or the rock-n-roll sign. Since she's playing the guitar, my bet it's the latter.

Delightful pic! And yes, "peach by peach."

When I was about 14, I met an elderly lady who had the wizened charm of an apple doll. I decided right then I wasn't going to be afraid of growing old. Your MIL confirms that...and is even more radiant.

Blessings,

It could be the beautiful guitar lady is on the way to (or just having signed) the short one-hand sign :ily: for I-love-you.

Or it could be "rock on" after strumming a particularly hard lick on that axe. :Guitar:

Either way, she rocks. :ty: for sharing, McCardey. :applause:

Your MIL sounds fabulous! Love the photo, too. May we all savor life peach by peach when we're her age. :)
