So, a few months ago, I was very excited to report that I had gotten contracted to write the new tie-in novel for the Traveller RPG!
...that fell through, due to complicated reasons I'm not at liberty to discuss.
BUT the guys trying to hire me liked the cut of my jib so much that they contracted me to write a DIFFERENT tie in to a DIFFERENT RPG, Invasion 2071 (which, incidentally, uses Traveller as a base system).
And now, after months of hard work...I HAVE HIT THE HALFWAY POINT!
Which is impressive, since...well, for me, I usually write young adult, which ranges between 60 to 70 thousand words. This novel (imaginatively titled Invasion 2071) is going to be 110,000 words.
So, now that I've hit the 55k mark, I normally am near the end of wrapping up. But for this one, I've only just gotten started. It is very odd.
But, I still feel like celebrating!
