... in between writing best-sellers? Career-wise, I mean. :)

Me? I'm an RN. Been doing it for close to 20 years. A bit burned out. But I've got a great position where I work only weekends so that I have more time for home and writing.

Would love to be a full-time writer though. :D

Who's next?

Cheering you all on!
I work in a lab testing water quality. (But, lately, I take care of the animals & read papers about species in the Gulf of Mexico)

I work part time as a reporter for a local paper, and work two mornings a week in the school library. When I need spare change, I whip up costumes for RenFaire attendees.

I work at a bank which the best part about it is - bankers hours and insurance. It's nice to have the weekends off and it's my first job that doesn't require weekend work. It beats unemployment, retail, and waitressing though I would rather be in the field I got my BA in which is newspaper journalism. It's a tough job market. I'm just glad to have a paycheck.

Full-time Mother. Part time jobs include: creating and maintaining websites, and semi-secretary for hubby (any paperwork that comes in for his business, I take care off).

Come next fall, I'll be in Kansas City helping out at a Fantasy/Writers/Gamers convention called ButcherCon as a Guest Liasion for the Editors, Agents and Guest Speakers.

And all of this is done for FREE. Hubby brings in the big bucks around here.

Still, it would be nice to have a steady career of my own.

In case my name doesn't make it obvious. I'm a 911 dispatcher/supervisor...I have been for nearly 11 years and if I make it 36 more years I can retire with a full pension!

Someone please beat me over the head with a shovel if I'm still doing this in 36 years...

Completely sideways, man
I don't even know if my job has a title!

I handle accounts receivable and maintain the advertising, marketing and amenities inventory for a timeshare resort company. Basically, this company owns resorts all over the US and my office houses designers and architects who design & build them. My part of it is making sure they all have the marketing materials they need and supplying the amenities for the rooms.

Not as easy as it sounds, especially when the software is full of bugs. grrr.

Stay-at-home dad for the past few years. Also do some shareware programming for a few extra bucks, and now and then some "consulting" (i.e. help small businesses with their computers for about $12/hr). And the odd website here and there.

I do not smuggle Furbies across state lines, nor have I ever done so. I have no idea how that rumor got started. No truth to it whatsoever.
