I'm new so I'm pretty sure I can't post my work on Share Your Work for general feedback and hopefully I'm not violating any rules by asking if anyone would be interested in betaing a couple of pages as I'm submitting this work for an open call relatively soon, as in August 1st soon.
It's an m/m holiday romance and the main character is mid-thirties, African-American, a professor of labor history at a small liberal arts college who just moved to Vermont but he grew up in NYC. He's a bit of a sci-fi geek. It's an epistolary romance so a lot of the romance takes place in e-mail form. He's being wooed by a younger white mechanic. I'm just want to make sure I'm not writing anything problematic, I don't think I am but I probably have some privilege blind spots that need to be addressed.
If this request is out of line, let me know and I'll take it down but if anyone is interested in betaing at least a couple of pages quickly I'd be grateful.
Obviously comfort with m/m is a must but I haven't got to anything particularly erotic yet, so it's fairly tame so far if that makes a difference.
