A.M. Homes has won the Women's Prize for Fiction with May We Be Forgiven. She is the fifth consecutive American to win the prize, which was the Orange Prize up to last year and will be the Bailey's Women's Prize for Fiction from next year.
The favourite was of course Hilary Mantel's Bring Up the Bodies, which previously won the Man Booker Prize and the Costa Book of the Year.
I've not read May We Be Forgiven, nor indeed any of Homes's earlier work. Thoughts, anyone?
