I think this one is Shang (about 1000 years earlier?). I've seen him in person, underground in DC at the Sackler under the Freer.

Anyway, I wouldn't use a blank sheet for a picture of God, not as long as there's even one tomb guardian left
in even one museum holding the line against blankness.

Thanks. I think Shang is more than 1000 years prior to Shang, but I haven't looked it up recently.

Much as I enjoy those guys, I just don't see the tomb guardians as God, little gods perhaps, but no capital "G." :)

But perhaps we can add to the list the desire to face the darkness and find light? Light being defined in all kinds of ways by all kinds of people.
