View Full Version : RED INK, Vol 1: Your Submissions Needed for Anthology

05-20-2013, 07:11 PM
Hello, all :)

I am starting up a writing project on my own, but it requires the help of women from all over the world who have a story to share...

RED INK is an anthology comprised of the personal stories of events that have affected women in their lives. The first volume of this project, 'Rites of Passage; Rights of Womanhood' is themed on those events that are deemed as typical rites of life for women: childbirth, a first kiss, a new relationship, job, etc. The stories don't have to be happy; some people may have had bad experiences, but the main focus is to write about it and share with others, you never know who will read your story and be uplifted.

Submissions should be 2000 words max, one per person, with a total of 40 stories in the anthology. Because it's self-published and self-funded, I'm only able to donate 5% of the proceeds to Hope for Justice, a charity that does brilliant work for women and girls in the UK. I've been on the phone to them this morning; currently waiting for them to email the banners, etc for my website. They've given me the option of putting the logo on the back of the book, but there may be other implications to this, so I'm still working it out.

As a contributor, you'll get a free copy of the book.
