This is an old improv game we used to play when I was in an improv troupe during high school (but I can't remember the real name of the game). It was seen on Whose Line? quite often, as it's typically pretty fun. If this has been done on here before, then someone can merge them.

We start with a setup. Then with a letter of the alphabet. You get one sentence. The sentence must start with that letter. The next sentence must follow the alphabetical order. For instance if the letter is E, then the next sentence must start with F and so on. It does not have to be a question.

Setup: It's the old west, and we're all meeting in a dirty saloon.

We'll start with "W"

What are you doing here?

Until then, break for lunch!

Cheryll

Very well - I'll take a chicken pita with potato salad. :)

Sage

Wait! Shouldn't we get everything done before lunch?

luxintenebrae
02-27-2006, 10:27 AM
'Xactly! We're such a lazy bunch - we haven't even done anything yet. Why are you all leaving? Back to work!

Zounds! Zinc Zippers! Is the wardrobe lady zany or what?

Cheryll
02-27-2006, 11:49 PM
Anyone found my shoe yet?

Albedo of Zero
02-28-2006, 02:24 AM
Bustles? I thought we were outta the west and into the Grease. Who hired that wardrobe lady anyway?

Unique
02-28-2006, 05:24 AM
Can anyone help Cheryll find her shoe? The show must go on!

Sage
02-28-2006, 05:30 AM
Does it look like this? <holds up shoe>

Cheryll
02-28-2006, 06:19 AM
Egad! Someone finally found it! :D

Sage
02-28-2006, 06:23 AM
Found it around Courtney Love's costumes. Looks like she took it to replace her lost shoe. Any chance you have hers?

Cheryll
02-28-2006, 06:32 AM
God only knows where my shoe has been if Ms. Love was wearing it! :scared:

Unique
02-28-2006, 05:06 PM
Here, take the Lysol and see if you can salvage that shoe; we're running behind in this production.

Cheryll
02-28-2006, 08:06 PM
Inconceivable!! This shoe is done for!

Cheryll

Jewel101

just find another pair. here's some money. there's a drugstore around the corner.

Cheryll
02-28-2006, 09:46 PM
Kind of you to offer! But what are we going to do about the rest of the costumes that are on fire in the wardrobe closet????

Jaycinth
02-28-2006, 09:55 PM
Let the lousey-lackluster costumes burn! We needed more lavendar and lots more lace for the ladies, Luke!

Prosthetic Foreheads
02-28-2006, 10:27 PM
Marilyn Manson must have set the blaze; maybe he was jealous of Hugh Jackman and wanted the lead role. (Personally, I think that would make for a much more interesting production.)

Cheryll
03-01-2006, 01:25 AM
Nobody's called the fire department????

Jewel101
03-01-2006, 05:26 AM
Oh my God!!! ......Um you guys do know we ran of pocket change that we were using for the production right? Cheryll used the last of it to buy some shoes. We can't afford new costumes.

Serenity
03-01-2006, 06:29 AM
Perhaps we can go steal some from the off-broadway production of Footloose? I don't think they'll miss them....

Sage
03-01-2006, 06:36 AM
Quite a strange production we're going to have here. Now it's going to be naked?

Cheryll
03-01-2006, 06:53 AM
Right, Jewel... Blame it all on me!

Albedo of Zero
03-01-2006, 08:14 AM
So what if we have no costumes; just be happy we're not doin the western naked!

Unique
03-01-2006, 08:41 AM
The ancient Greeks wrestled naked in the gymnasium. Can we work that into the script until we find some cheap costumes?

Jewel101
03-01-2006, 09:56 AM
Um, don't get mad at me Cheryll, i only said that you took the last 52 cents. Someone has been spending it all. On what, I can't tell you

Jaycinth
03-01-2006, 09:41 PM
Vocal verification software is what it was spent on. Now mix the ashes of the wardrobe with some water and smear it on your bodies...considering what we are doing..that is all you will need.

Sage
03-02-2006, 05:18 AM
Well, I'm not sure how the audience will react to that.

Unique
03-02-2006, 05:28 AM
Xylephone music will have them covering their ears. It's a small movement to eyes from ears, right?

Cheryll

Yowza! Everyone's in the buff and the audience is BOOING!

luxintenebrae
03-02-2006, 10:53 AM
Zoo-like pandemonium! Guess we should have worked out a little first, huh? Our flabbiness has scared everyone away!

Jaycinth

Paint

Thanking the Academy is one hard speech to write. Hey! Where is everyone going?

Bob Dole
03-07-2006, 02:58 AM
Unaimously I think the room will agree with me about nothing.

Jewel101
03-07-2006, 09:37 AM
Very likely Bob Dole

Cheryll
03-07-2006, 07:03 PM
When did Bob Dole join the production????

Unique
03-07-2006, 07:35 PM
Xerxes called in sick - he's the stand in.

Bob Dole
03-08-2006, 12:59 AM
you have a problem with that?

Jaycinth
03-08-2006, 08:18 PM
Zachariah still has a list of available stand ins!

Jewel101

Unique
03-10-2006, 12:53 AM
By the way, has anyone seen the new script?

Jaycinth
03-10-2006, 01:07 AM
Classic confusion! Carruther's crafty cats came and carried off cases containing contracts, contacts and the scripts. Criminy that's CRAZY!

Jewel101
03-10-2006, 02:59 AM
Did somebody say new script? What happened to the old one? Did it burn in that fire?........Did we even have an old one?

luxintenebrae
03-10-2006, 12:26 PM
Everybody's gonna have to improv if we can't find the script! Anyone really want to trust Courtney Love to make sense without a script?

Unique
03-10-2006, 04:02 PM
Fortunately, Courtney was lost in the fire along with the script. We've had a western and a Geek tradegy. What's next?

Jaycinth
03-10-2006, 07:32 PM
GREAT GATSBY!!!!! That's our new script? But F.Scott didn't have a geisha, a goat, a gator and a gorilla? Where's this going?!

Unique
03-14-2006, 02:47 PM
He**'s fire! Get your glasses fixed. That's a hippo, a harlot, and a hairpiece.

Jaycinth

Indeed, illustrious inventive icon! Incidentally, interview interested iguanas, imps, ifrits and indiginous ichthyosaurs immediately!

Unique
03-18-2006, 04:51 PM
Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the wings...along comes a new script featuring - Junebugs! Just how many lines do you suppose a Junebug can memorize anyway? And who in their right mind wants to play a Junebug...but, come to think of it, not many of us are IN our right minds so step right up and be a Junebug! Watch out for ducks!

Paint
03-18-2006, 09:12 PM
Know what? I think you need to see Albedo of Zero about the ducks. Albedo has a copy of the latest script and I think it is about ducks not Junebugs.

No, we decided not to do Gatsby. Daisy ran off and joined a leper colony.
