Two women are fighting. A tackles B other onto her back and straddles her chest. What's a good way for A to pin and neutralize B's hands? She wants to talk and calm the situation, rather than continue fighting.

Grab B's wrists and push them down onto the floor, over B's head. Unless B has some serious arm strength, she's going to be at a serious disadvantage and won't be able to get out from that.

If you need B to get free, she can rock her hips over and knock A off balance, giving her time to free her hands and then push A all the way off.

A lays crosswise on B. B's right hand between A's knees. A wraps her arms around B's left arm up by her shoulder and wedges it between A's right shoulder and head. Each time B tries to roll away, A slides her knees under B's back. In no time B has nowhere to go.
Hope that makes sense.

{In JuJitsu this is a yoko shiho gatame (side-4 corner hold)}

Yay it seems like wrist control to arms held above head would be the natural result barring expertise in a grappling art
