Does anyone know of or can recommend a website where I can research options for withdrawals of 401k funds? Like the best time t make withdrawals and how to minimize taxes.

Mods, if this doesn't belong here I'd appreciate you moving it to an appropriate area.

You will need to talk to the people who run the 401(k) and/or your tax accountants. There are some options about how such plans are set up. For example, with some plans someone can make a withdrawal or either 55 or 56 without a penalty. On other plans there would be a penalty if the person wasn't 59 1/2 at the time.

It can get rather complicated because of certain little rules and regulations (and you need to make sure you understand them completely before doing anything).
