Hi guys, does anyone know if rail passes are cheaper in Europe or if they're cheaper ordering abroad? I'm looking to get a two country pass - France/Switzerland

Any advice, would be greatly appreciated. I've waited a bit long, as we leave on the 1st, so I have to order them pronto if we're going to get them before then.

In 2010, a Canadian friend of mine had a 10-day EUrail pass covering three countries. He seemed pleased.

Note, rail passes are available to non-EU citizens only. Your questions will be answered here, http://www.eurailgroup.org/Rail%20Passes/Eurail.aspx

Btw, children up to the age of four travel for free.

Check this link for rail passes suiting your need http://www.eurail.com/eurail-passes

Buy it before you go, in Canada or the U.S.

Read the fine print; it's much more restrictive now than it used to be.

Photocopy it before you go, and stash the photocopy somewhere save that isn't in the same place as the pass.
