What's Your Kryptonite?

Mine is the movie 'Fly Away Home' starring Anna Paquin. It's just a film about a daffy little kiwi girl and her goddamn pet geese. I'm a very stoical kind of fella, didn't even cry when my mother died, but that movie pierces my heart with an icicle that has a tip a molecule wide.

It doesn't matter how engrossed I am in whatever I'm doing, the minute someone suggest "Hey, Mom! Wanna rock out?" I'm dropping everything and picking up my guitar.

The dogs. Tallulah's especially deadly. Cutest little damn dog in the known universe. Kharma and Bimmer take things more seriously, which has its own pitfalls. When they do something I usually need to pay attention, although Kharma enjoys pranking.

Sudoku was my Kryptonite, just recently, for a period of a few months. I think I'm mostly over it.

Shoes. Which is weird because I'm a country girl, I don't go many places to wear half the cute shoes I have/ want. But I cant seem to stop myself.

Coffee.

It's unfortunate sometimes, because coffee makes you pee, and yet I'll happily succumb to temptation and buy a large coffee and drink it in 5 minutes before catching the bus - usually for 1.5 hours. Yeah, by the time I'm home, my legs are crossed.

Or even when it's a really hot day, if someone wants a hot drink, I'll have a coffee as well.

ZOMG Sudoku! I used to do about 8 of those puzzles a day. Loved them.

Really, I should know better by now, but the big eyes get me every single time.

My kryptonite is bread. Yeah. Bread.

Pasta, rice, oats, almost any kind of grain.

I used to be able to eat the stuff no problem, but I started a paleo diet a few months ago and now I get stomach cramps when I eat grans, which is sad because pasta is amazing. Oh well.

Chocolate, ESPECIALLY those little Caramilk Easter eggs they have in the stores right now.

Only one more week of temptation left... Then I will be good...

Oh, who am I kidding. I'm going to buy ten packs after Easter for half-price and throw them in the freezer so I can nosh on them all summer.

How has nobody said "AbsoluteWrite"? I have an ebook open that I'm not read a page of in over an hour, and the evening started off with contemplating scenes for the WIP. But here I am . . . and I'm not sorry!
