I had medial epicondylitis ( golfers elbow) surgery done 3 weeks ago for chronic tendentious. I don't golf in case you're wondering. Anyway I am so frustrated with the recovery. I'm supposed to be training for karate testing in April, but am side lined. I knew that going in but what I am really frustrated about is my ortho doc hasn't offered me any P T. I had the splint removed 2 weeks ago and was shown a series of passive exercises to do at home and see you back in a month. Everything I've read suggests that P T starts after the splint comes off. I do intend to ask my doc about this but was curious if anyone has had this surgery and what their post OP experience was like. I kind of feel he isn't being aggressive with me because of my age. (51) I don't think he gets that I'm not sitting at home watching soaps all day. He knows I injured my elbow at karate, but I still don't think he gets it.
