View Full Version : Gettin' Sh*t Done!

I'm getting excited as I see my to-do list wither. (-:

My 3rd novel, THE REASONS, is slated to come out in April (Published by MUSA PUBLISHING) and I just finished the second round of edits on it. I'm awaiting final line edits and looking forward to seeing my cover!

I just submitted the final draft of my InspiraTO Festival play, PERFECT TIMING in to the producer. Worked with an excellent dramaturg and I'm feeling really great about the final draft that she helped pound into shape with me.

I am finished final round of edits on the second novel with my agent. AND my agent has my first novel on the desks of some top choice editors! I'm awaiting news on how that goes...with fingers crossed!

I decided at the beginning of 2013 that I would tighten my belt and stop taking writing for granted. I never really took it seriously enough. This year, I've had my nose to the grindstone AND it seems to be working!

SEVERAL Goals Accomplished!

Well done!

I love checking off things from my to-do list. Sometimes I put items on there just so that I can cross them off. Your items are BIG. Good work.

Congrats, Kev. Good to hear you're working hard and things are going well. :Hug2:

Sounds good, KTC--plus bonus points on getting to use the lovely word "dramaturg," which amuses me no end for no reason whatsoever.

Congrats on getting it done!!!!!

Thanks so much, ALL!

Maryn...you're funny! I feel the same way about the word. I worked with my dramaturg for about a month and a half. I worked it into conversation whenever I could. "Oh, my dramaturg said the funniest thing yesterday!" "Sorry, I was just on the phone with my dramaturg." "Oh! My dramaturg has that movie...she loved it!"

Kevin, who gets tickled quite easily.

Onward with the busy year!

Jeez, KTC, I'm worn out just reading your post! Congrats and best wishes to you!

And I learned a new word ... :D

The first time I heard anybody say "dramaturg," I literally thought they were expressing displeasure with someone theatrical and saying "drama turd."

Thanks so much, everyone! Forgot to peek in earlier. (I also have a full time job and I run registrations for the Ontario Writers' Conference, which is in full swing...so not a lot of time lately) (-;
