I did a search but couldn't see a topic on this.
As I understand it, here's what is going on. The writer Jamie McGuire self-published a book called 'Beautiful Disaster'. The book sold so well that a regular publisher picked the book up. Now Amazon is sending a mass mail to all the purchasers of the self-published version, advising people to demand a refund. The refund has to be paid by the author. There is no flaws in the self-published work.

I'm not sure why this is going on, or what is behind it. The blog post is sort of shallow on detail, but maybe this is something that should be discussed.
