The majority of a scene I've written takes place inside a high-rise apartment, but a very small portion of it takes place at the edge of the window, with one character outside, one character at open window, and everyone else inside.

Should I mark new scenes when I'm at the window, or treat it all as an internal scene?

Thanks!

If you're envisioning the action being shot from outside the window, I'd treat it as a new scene and use a new slugline,

EXT. HIGH RISE APARTMENT WINDOW - DAY

or use mini-slugs,

OUTSIDE THE WINDOW

and when finished,

BACK INSIDE THE APARTMENT or BACK TO SCENE
