Blueprint Your Bestseller...?

I just got this book by Stuart Horwitz a few days ago. Thought it was quite interesting, except one topic I was expecting to have a chapter devoted to it turned out not to. Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone here had done the major exercise in this book, which is identifying "series" across all the scenes in your manuscript or outline. (I was thinking it would be interesting to do across one's entire body of work too.)
