(Don't know where it post this, but here goes.)I assume you are all familiar with the Microsoft ads that have been running for a few months, with all the synchronized laptop handling, smug faces and people dancing on tables. I find the commercials irritating. And not being technology savvy I have to guess at what they are selling, the laptop or the system it runs on. I like the Apple commercial, with the swimming shark and all the rest. And the music is better. Does anyone agree with me? Or is the Microsoft ad campaign successful?

I know the commercial you're talking about and I cannot stand it. I tend to channel surf during commercials and that one is sure to make find something else to watch.

Absolutely.

But I'm not their target audience, lol. Once you go Mac you never go back ;)

I live in Japan so I haven't seen either of those commercials. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.:)

Other than that, I got nothin'...except I prefer using Microsoft.

Personally, I don't see Windows 8 or their tablet getting very far. MS really just needs to get back to developing for PCs.

I think that's what they're doing with the current ads: going for a younger market. Because, you know, everybody over the age of 31 can breakdance like they did back in 1983.

Yeah, way to make it clear that it's just another overpriced toy. Besides, if you can snap it into two separate pieces, you can lose a piece. And I'm betting replacement pieces aren't cheap.
