View Full Version : Agents who specialize in handling knitting and crochet books

What might be the best way for me to research the names of agents (no fees) who specialize in handling craft books such as knitting and crochet titles?

Before I purchase a copy: Does anyone know if the 2013 Guide to Literary Agents has a separate category for agents who specifically handle craft books?

Thank you!

:welcome: Lee!

If you go to www.querytracker.com, you might do an agent search under general non-fiction. Another idea is to go to the bookstore, find books on knitting, and read the acknowledgments for author's agents.

Good luck!

Another way is to look at already in published books on the subject, and see if any agents are cited.

Sorry I'm a little late in responding to you (haven't been around AW lately). Yes, indeed the best way is to look in published books in your topic area to see who the agent is. Google Books makes this easy, since you can search for

knitting books, agent

and then you can look at the preview and see what agent they credit.
