Hi everyone,

I'll be in NYC for a month. Apart from The Strand and Books of Wonder, what bookstores are worth visiting for YA & MG books in Manhattan, Astoria, Brooklyn?

Thanks!

Shakespere & Co. is worth visiting for any reason (including kids' books). :)

Kids' books specifically, Bank St. Books is the creme de la creme as far as I'm concerned. There's also a good place on the East Side, Bookberries I think?

You don't mention the Scholastic store, which is, you know, the Scholastic store, and I'm not sure what you're looking for specifically, but there's a bookstore up by Teacher's College, up at Columbia (it's called like, the Columbia Teacher's College Bookstore or some such iirc), that stocks all their stuff, that has a lot of kidlit and how-to with kids and stuff (by Bank St., one trip!).

Hi!

I would be remiss not to mention my bookstore, Babbo's Books. We have a small but (I think) well-stocked Young Adult section. We have mostly used books and they're cheap!

Here's our website: http://www.babbosbooks.com/

Hope you enjoy your visit!
