View Full Version : is it ever wise to delete book?

I wrote a series of novellas about a new kind of undercover detective. Now I've compiled them in one volume. Do you think I should delete the individual novellas and just offer the compilation?

I would actually prefer people to read all of them now. But what's the marketing word on this one? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Thanks in advance, folks.

I've offered trilogies individually and as omnibus'. I sell copies of both and see no reason not to offer both. It gives readers a chance to check out the first book before committing to an entire series. It's a win-win.

I agree with Merri. Having both also increases visibility in search results and also-bought/also-viewed results. :)

FWIW I think you should do both. People may take a chance on a cheap novella and get hooked on the series whereas they might not want to take the plunge on a higher-priced compilation.

Just my thoughts.
