View Full Version : Do Audio Books need an ISBN?

Common sense tells me yes, but I just want to be sure. I'm talking about (hypothetically) a "book" that was straight audio, no print format.

An isbn would be useful to them for the same reasons it is useful for an e- or print book--access to distribution services.

It certainly qualifies for one. Any publisher who puts out text for sale to the public should have an ISBN assigned. Here's a link for more information:
