Looking for a comment about how the James Frey scandal has impacted the publishing world and readers. Do you think readers will be able to trust authors and publishers? Or is this not a big deal to them? How does it impact you as a reader/author?

To be published at myDNA.com. Need a comment by Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. EST if possible!

I think the lack of response to the thread may sufficiently answer the question. Just another scam artist. No more, no less. If Opra hadn't been duped no one would give the issue a second thought. Not many do, anyway.

I would be hard pressed to care less if you paid me. Someone made up some stuff in an authobiography? Big deal, he's hardly the first. Oprah looks stupid? Bonus.

Writer sells a lot of books, makes money? Excellent. I'm willing to bet his next book will hit the bestsellers lists too, and good luck to him.

Nobody's life has been damaged by this. To be affronted by it is just pompousness.
