Hi all,

I was doing research for my WIP and need to know what the Heathrow Airport area looked like back in 1527. I suspect that there was nothing there. But was it farming fields, a village, or something else? Any information would be helpful.

Thank you!

I believe that area was once known as Heathrow Heath so rough heathland seems likely. Bear in mind that the Great West Road (now known as the A4) goes right by it.

The the south of LHR is the A30, the Great South-West Road.
Hounslow Heath is about four miles east of LHR. looking at pics of it may give you some idea of what the area round LHR was like.
