Okay, so while your smiling and congenial middle-aged auntie (the kind of woman who simultaneously raised 11 kids, ran a multi-million dollar business, put herself through college, edited a monthly magazine, chaired an NPO, and published 3 books, all before the age of 40) puttered around in her magnificant kitchen from 4 AM-onward yesterday, whipping up a Thanksgiving Day feast worthy of an MTV-award-winning rap artist, did you sit your sweater-wearing ass down in the living room with your laptop for about 5 hours, surfing the web, glancing up occassionally at the football game, which your other sweater-wearing relatives were likewise only half paying attenton to as they snacked on cheese and crackers, and all the while you kept ignoring the small swarm of sweater-wearing pipsqueaky little cousins and nieces and nephews who endlessly tugged at your sleeve saying "C'mon, Uncle Bryce! Come play Wii with us in the other room!" ???
And as you surfed the web, how many dropdead AWESOME new new new new new new videos did you stumble upon which were just so effin' kew'l that you HAD to share them with the rest of the assembled Givers of Thanks there at your over-achiever Auntie's house? (This assumes these videos were PG-rated or tamer, since the sleeve-tugging pipsqueaks needed to be able to view them alongside your raucus Counsin Garret who's finally out on probation. He was also the only one there not wearing a sweater since he wanted to show off his latest tattoos.)

(I still have fond memories of Thanksgiving back in 2009 when my family and I were introduced to the utterly-new-at-the-time awesome video called "The Muppets: Bohemian Rhapsody." On Thanksgiving Day of 2009, that Muppet video had been out for just 3 days, and by 3:00 on the afternoon of Thanksgiving, it had already amassed over 3 millon views. Quite impression considering that the YouTube channel which published that Muppet video, called MuppetStudios, had only been launched as a brand new channel less than two months prior, and the scant half-dozen videos they'd already had on their new Muppet channel each had barely a few hundreds views each. But their Bohemian Rhapsody video is the one that put their YouTube channel on the map. And it happened on Thanksgiving weekend.
Moral of the story: if you want to get a video to go viral, release it just 2 weeks or less prior to Thanksgiving so that the sweater-wearers from coast-to-coast can share it with their pipsqueaky cousins.
And as one last little comment -- this video is from Melbourne, Australia, but Americans are just eating it up.)
