I'm impressed. I can never get the speed dial to work. I have to scroll through my address book in order to find a number.

I have my top 20 or so numbers on voice dial, as I use bluetooth and it means I don't have to touch the phone at all to make calls.

Here are two different ways I did in a couple of books (I write primarily in first person, but it works just as well in third.) People will grasp the actions in their head:


After digging around in my purse, I extracted my cell phone. It was earlier in California and Jeremy keeps odd hours because of filming demands. I clicked the button until I found his name on my phone list and pressed to dial.

I picked up my cell phone again and clicked the down arrow five times to come to the church phone number without even looking at the display. Knowing the order I’ve saved the numbers really helps when I’m driving. I hit the send button. It didn’t even ring on my end before it was picked up.

LOL - I always scroll down too. I memorized the number of times I hit my thumb to get "home"(1) or "office"(5) or "mom" (16)
But now my phone has voice recognition and all I have to do is put it up to my lips and say "Call Home" and it'll dial for me.

My old phone had voice recognition, too. Only I said "phone home" and it only recognized it if I sounded like ET.

I didn't use it much in public.

The only cell phone I ever use are the pay ones that say SHERIFF al over it.
