SOLD! My YA Debut Novel!

I’m so excited! Finally, I can announce the news I’ve been sitting on for weeks! I’ve sold my YA debut novel to Merit Press Books, the new YA imprint of F+W Media. Here’s the PM announcement:

Erin Richards's VIGILANTE NIGHTS, [YA] debut pitched as reminiscent of The Outsiders, about a 17-year-old boy who turns vigilante to get revenge on the street gang who killed his twin sister, until he falls in love and risks losing everything again, to Jacquelyn Mitchard at Merit Press, for publication in Summer 2013, by Natalie Lakosil at Bradford Literary Agency (World English).

I wouldn’t have gotten to this point in my writing journey without the amazing support and advice of the people on AW! Everywhere I turned, I read: “keep writing,” “keep querying,” “never give up,” and “it just takes one agent or one editor.” I’m a total believer!
