Because of a: OU course and b: Moving I've not done any work for two weeks. And now I sit down, put my music on, prepare to start and... nope. Not happening.

It's not a block, it's just rustiness. It'll take me a while to get back into the pattern again and to get myself back into the headspace and my brain is reluctant.

So tell me to get on with it, already!

Ever go a few days without posting?
Ever worry about that?

I didn't think so.

So, get on with it.

Yes, you do need to get on with it, already.

If you can do just half an hour today, three quarters of an hour tomorrow, and an hour the day after, that will probably remove almost all of the rust and set up some rhythm, you know? ;)

You could just curl up and take a nap. -My cat

I like that idea.

Jos has suggested I concentrate on silly writing this week to get myself back into it. I think I will write one or two of the short stories currently being distracting today.

Take something that you find absurd and write a short satire about it.

You will have no shortage of subject matter and at least you will entertain yourself.

I got on with it. It has taken me longer than normal, but I've managed to write some of the first part of a ghost story ('tis the season)

It's nearly half five! Jos will be back soon and then there's no point because he'll distract me whether he means to or not.

But I've done about an hour, less than normal, and I'll try to do a ittle more when he's out tonight.

You let him go out? At night? Are you sure that's wise?! :)

It's ok! He hasn't killed anyone yet.

He's off to play a roleplaying game with some old friends of his. Now we live further out of town it's even more important we get the odd evening a week away from each other or there may be an incident at some point.

I'm not saying I'd kill him, because that way I wouldn't be able to collect on the life insurance.

When all else fails, take a nap. Then have a piece of chocolate. Then write. Get on with it!

Oh come now. The man has taste. I've seen those friends, and neither of us would touch them with yours.

Oooo, that stings! :)

So does a judicious application of the whip.
