View Full Version : Use me for research.

Just wanted to throw this up there as I have a few areas of "expertise" and while working I generally have a little time. I'll try my best to keep this short, if you don't need me, great, but I have time to kill.

areas of expertise

Oilfield: I'm a field engineer and I know a lot from experience about several facets of drilling. My job keeps me "on site" on drilling rigs for 3 weeks out of each month so if I don't know an answer I can probably get it from someone who does. The oilfield (most of it) is not like what you've seen on "black gold". I've worked both offshore and onshore, and performed my services on two continents (N and S America)

Guns: I'm not a gun guru, but I can point you to specialists if I don't know the answer. Mainly ballistics and specific weapons and features are where my interests lay, but I feel I can be of help on most things (writers often visit the gun forum that I'm on asking for help) that writers are interested in.

Physics: I'm a little rusty but this is my "college" area of expertise. I can't give you the plans for building a particle accelerator, but I can probably be helpful about most things.

Anyways, use me if you want. I have 12 hour shifts and half of it is surfing the web most days. If I can help I will, if I can't I'll try to get you to someone who can.

Best thing to do is come here every so often and chime in when you see something you can contribute to. The people who need to use you probably won't come by until your thread is well buried.
