The Write Place At the Write Time

Our latest autumn issue is live, containing interviews with NYT best-selling author Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Gone, Baby, Gone, Shutter Island) and former international news correspondent, Paula Butturini (Keeping the Feast) along with many new voices and styles in poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Our publication schedule change has gone into effect; to continually deliver the high standards of content that you have come to know us for, we are now publishing three issues a year- the next issue is due out Jan. 22nd with a submissions deadline of December 15th.

We boldly step onto new ground as a publication with a selection of poetry and fiction that either extends into new genres or has a different, definitive edge. Our Fiction, Poetry and Non-fiction Contest deadline has passed and we are excited to be evaluating submissions with the help of our three esteemed guest judges: authors Gwendolen Gross, Ellen Bass and Kathleen Flinn. The results of this first, large scale annual contest will appear in our upcoming winter/spring issue.

We now have a Writers Challenge page with writing prompts and exercises- two new challenge prompts will appear in our upcoming issue.

For additional writing tips, insights and interviews with professional in the field, visit our associated blog, Inscribing Industry either via the tab on our main site or directly through the blog at:
