This might belong to the PC and E thread but I thought this specific article would be especially pertinent to this section of the site. I was especially intrigued by the fact that there are penal laws throughout Europe that criminalize some forms of hate speech while they simultaneously protect Anti-Muslim hate propaganda as free speech.

I'm curious if Muslim writers see the concept the article outlines as carrying over to the writing community especially during the wip process.

Thanks TimmyV. This is extremely true. I was watching a report in French about this very same subject. The Muslims who protested peacefully against discriminating cartoons were arrested while the people who drew them were allowed a second running of it.


Personally, it hasn't affected my writing because there's not much politics in my WIPs, but there are many instances of pointing out double standards in society.
