Since I've made a point about police killing family pets (most recently in this post) I figure I should also give credit where credit is due.
Here's a story about a pit bull holding a family captive in their house for three hours, certainly a case where force might have been called for.
Instead, "the family was able to hand some meat to the officer and he used it to lure the pitbull to his patrol car. When the dog jumped in the back, he quickly slammed the door."
Nice job, officer.
Perhaps SWAT teams should start carrying a hunk or two of meat on their raids??
