I found that. And I vaguely remember one in a drama, where they sold the tofu, but didn't have a restaurant. There are a *ton* of specialty shops in Japan, especially in the older districts. So I also remember that. But I can't seem to find good pictures of a feasible layout of the interior of the shop.

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone remember one? If not, does anyone remember the dramas with one? I know there was a Japanese drama with a tofu shop owner... but I can't remember the name of the drama.

It was one of the school dramas where the shop was in crisis... *sighs* I've watched too many.

Maybe I haven't watched enough japanese dramas, the korean ones usually fill my time.

The only, remotely close idea is Initial D, which is sad that I remember a manga, in which, the tofu shop was just mentioned a couple times. Oh, and Persona 4. Wow, me.

Searching youtube:

Maybe you can assemble a layout for this. I also think specialty tofu shops aren't store front businesses, but deliveries and such.

There are some nice exterior shots, but not very much on the layout inside. I do like the pictures that show the tofu-making process, though. And the food porn, but that goes without saying.

There's a gallery of photos on Lightbox by a Japanese photographer called Ko Sasaki (http://kosasaki.photoshelter.com/gallery/TOFU-IRIYAMA/G0000bEmX3qsNrSw/). Any good?

Thank you all! Definitely resolved my issues with the layout of the shop and deciding on what kind of shop I wanted to show.
